The nose is nicely balanced and layered. It’s predominantly fresh mixed fruit, both sweet and tart. But theres also buttery maltiness alongside toasted oak, honey, minerals, and chalk. The palate is equally satisfying with much of the notes above. The texture is nice but becomes astringent toward mid palate where powdered sugar and vanilla come out. The finish is long with notes of malt and brown pear skin.
