The nose has rich port and sherry notes, very sweet and fruity.
The palate is very balanced with sweet, fruit and wine notes. There are both sherry and port notes in this one, with the port notes dominating (though perhaps less so than in some of the earlier expressions). The finish is fruity/sherry/port. This is a bit more balanced than the earlier expressions and the best so far. Age seems to be treating this distillate well.
n: more fruit forward and nice vanilla oak nose. Heavy on the bourbon cask influence. Honey and malt.
t: tastes different from the nose - floral and sour cherry fuits. Some lemon custard. A hint of smke and a long grapey finish. Nice dark fruits and a bit of spice. Wine finish takes over at the end.
