Nice burnt orange color. Nose is full of caramel and oak, with hints of vanilla. On the palate there is a lot more spice than the nose portends. The initial taste is actually a big kick. However, not overly complex or deep and the finish is not nearly as good as I was expecting. [1/21/12]
Black peppercorn and heavy oak char on the nose. Plenty of caramel and corn candy. Very inviting!
Orange peel and warming spice in the robust beginning. Hot cinnamon and peanut brittle body. Waxy mint and dry cloves (tannic) in the quick finish. It runs sharp and hot and doesn't quite finish as well as the beginning. [B/B+]
