This is a more balanced offering than the prior releases I have tasted. THe nose has nice sugar notes. On the tongue the rye is mellow and not bitter. Finish could be better. [4/14/13]
Bitterness and rubbing alcohol. Only the Eagle 18 overshames the Saz in the antique collection.

Ok, I'll back off a little bit. It's not really bad. Just not good.
It's a little bit too much like I accidentally drank a mishmash of carpentry chemicals. Ok, there's a little antique wood but not enough to save it. C-/C
N: Luscious nose that is sweet yet tangy with mulling refined rye spices. Black cherry and black licorice.
P: Good viscosity initially. Good amount of wood Influence. Dark fruit sweetness leading into herbs and spices. Dries out toward midpalate with faint floral notes appearing.
