n: Heavy on the creamy vanilla and caramel notes. This smells of American oak and barley with some lemon wax and golden raisins.
t: Initial is honeycomb and heather, but the base ingredients really come through here. You can taste the malted barley in the distillate and it marries nicely with the bourbon cask; it's basic and simple but does this very nicely. The high ABV makes it a dense and full-flavour whisky. A little water adds to the sweetness and floral notes, but I prefer the full strength.
This is a straight forward, base ingredient malt that really takes to the bourbon cask. The result is creamy vanilla honey with plenty of oak and a nice citrus wax finish that lasts for a very long time. This is good scotch.
