This one has a light but pleasant nose. It's a pretty typical Buffalo Trace nose, sweet with a hint of spice. The palate on this has a very good balance of sweetness, oak and spice. It's a very easy drinker and has a nice bit of spice late on the palate and into the finish. You know all those people who say they want a "smooth" bourbon? This is for them.
n: corn syrup, drying varnish, paper glue, and warm buttered grits. Vanilla oak and a light note of spearmint gum.
t: initially this is very soft and subtle, and surprisingly so at a decent 50%. Buttered toasted oats and some peanut toffee. Middle is vanilla and corn, like Corn Pops breakfast cereal. Finish is the detractor here, just thin and with some char and light corn sweetness and fades meekly. Not a whole lot else going on, it's not bad, but doesn't do much. [B-/C+]
