N: Roasted corn, sweet malt and spices. Smoldering peat smoke is present but light. P: Mouth coating. Charred and smoky flavors dominate. High amount of spiciness alongside the presence of peat. F: The spice lingers giving way to some waxy tarry notes.
n: caramel popcorn balls, buttery toffee, light smoke and ash. Smouldering driftwood fire and a hint of spearmint gum and wood polish.
t: dense and oily mouthfeel full of salted butter and scorched peppercorns. Turns pleasantly sweet with a light seaside peat in the middle; follows the nose of the popcorn balls and toffee. Very nice with the present-but-subtle ashy smoke and brine with a savoury sweet spot. I enjoyed the high proof of this.
