N: Sweet candied fruit nose. Lots of smells of the pine forest with some floral notes. The nose gets deeper with tobacco, black licorice and some spice.
P: Good consistency and structure. Its bitter sweet and awesome. Dark sherry fruits contrast the zesty tangerines and lemons. It dovetails to wax , licorice and Chinese preserved plums.
F: Long vegetal finish much like bitter greens.
A great malt with a rich nose. It has all the stuff I like from sherry bombs while retaining complexity and balance. It isn't overly sweet so you can drink multiple pours. I did! B+/A-
N: Decent. Perhaps distant dark fruits with cedar.
p: Oily and a bit dry on the sherry. Too dry. I like Farc sweeter. There is a bit of damp firewood that plays with the dry sherry. Nothing to complain about here, but is doesn't make we want to jump out and find more.
n: luscious old style nose of varnish, black cherry jam, and light cedar.
t: dark chocolate with just a hint of sweetness - quite bittersweet. Green tobacco and more of that musty sherry resin. Middle has some waxy leather while maintaining a vanilla, malty backbone. Really nice and cohesive stuff; a pleasure to drink.
