N: A nice mix of sweetness and tannins. It has a certain light sweet black tea quality to it; nice gentle corn presence, good maple syrup, light toffee, a little orange zest on the top end, some hints of plums low on the nose. Wood is present but slightly astringent.
P: Moderate mouthfeel. Light on flavor compared to the nose initially; some sweetness and light sugar; a whisper of maple syrup and a fair bit of wood influence.
F: Warm with some dry wod. Cools quickly, slightly root-y. The wood stays slightly astringent.
I thought the nose was great, but the palate is really weak by comparison, which is always a surprise.
