N: Sweet candied nose! Lots of oak (tree bark), herbal, anise and minty greens. This is very balanced (not too sweet and not too woody). P: Starts off with tangy citrus in the fore palate and turns herbal and grassy as it develops. A fair amount of peat emerges alongside salted preserved Chinese plum, mint and menthol. F: Warm and lingering raisin and black cherry sweetness
n: black cherry, resin, candied walnuts. Rich and velvety with a touch of a herbal mint quality.
t: smoked malt, butter-heavy toffee, ume (salted plum), and a spiced hot chocolate center. Cherry wood, black walnuts, and black raisin in a gently smoked finish. Nice and gently complex but full flavour on a unique side for Springbank.
