Grassy-hay nose, with tangerine-apricot, some Nilla wafers. Somewhat sharp.
Palate is nice and down-the-middle, not as fruity as expected, though that stone-fruitiness is here. Mostly an herbal-spice character that continues and is most prominent in the moderate finish.
This is nothing to write home to Mom about, but it's a decent entry-level no-nonsense down-the middle malt. The higher proof for a 12 year OB is a plus. (Bottled 2011)
