Deep amber. My notes are short and simple, but this is one of the best bourbons I have ever had. Nose is charming, oozing with vanilla and a back-end with plenty of spice. The palate brings a non-astringent wood and brings the heat. I wish I had written more (too busy enjoying this one), but having tasted on multiple occasions, this only seems to get better. Nose is rich, oaky with red wine and maple syrup. Palate is thick, sweet and woody as hell, trailing off with light citrus into a woody finish.

I love these old, woody wheaters. This is a flawless example of the style.
