N: Rich combination of nutty oloroso sherry and wood, with a nice dose of spice - a bit of anise, light nutmeg, a touch of cinnamon. A little earthy, a touch of leather.
P: Leathery and woody, with some nutty sherry notes. Rich and mouth-coating, white pepper. Slight apple note and a trace of orange.
F: Warm, leathery again, woody; drying in the mouth. A bit of waxy apple character as it dries, which goes more towards wood. Slightly astringent but not disagreeably so.
This is pretty balanced and enjoyable with the spices; the palate is a touch simple. (Also my cork turned into cork dust upon opening this the first time which made me sad).
