Vanilla cupcakes and smoke in the nose. Heathery meadow.
Really nice palate. Oak is well-balanced against the smoke, and some of that vanilla-cakey thing is here from the nose. Dry ashes in the finish, cedary notes, lingers really pleasantly and not overwhelmingly.
A really nice, smokey malt that doesn't get tired.
