n: raisin, baked green apple, toasted bread. Bit of heather and grass with cinnamon roll dough.
t: overall it's tasty and safe - very scotchy-scotch with the malt, fruit, and oak all coming together in a nice package. Not too sweet, has a tasty, dry spice finish that really lasts. A notch better than the 15 yr Solera when compared side by side.
I like it because it is easily accessible and sold for a fair price. Would make for a great gift for someone getting serious about whisky.
