n: lemon wax, creamy citrus orange, full ashtray. Smoke is light (like paper smouldering) and has a lot of vanilla wafers and caramel on the nose.
t: follows the nose with the creamy citrus with an oily-waxyness to it. The youthful green grass and sharper notes of alcohol show in the middle. This has a very high ABV so a few drops of water helps calm the brash notes. A good amount of peat smoke flavor in here, but it's very heathery/floral (nothing Islay style). This was an interesting first foray into peat for Arran, would like to taste this aged with a few more years to mellow it out and coalesce. New make and ashtray. [C/C+]
