Sweet honeyed sherry sweetness. Nutty with black berries and raspberries on the palate. Waxy apple finish.
This was toward the end of a long night of whisky, a night of very very good whiskey but this still seemed to really make a big impression. Great stuff!
Incredibly drinkable, lightly sweet and honeyed, oranges. Finish gets a little nutty, then sweet again. This is really great stuff for any occasion that's not the "contemplative" or "wood paneled study" tasting that many malts do best at. What I mean is, it's just too alive and bursting with flavors to spend time sitting and musing over it. B+/A-
