Nose is huge musty charcoal, really cool and great and yummy-smelling. Dusty books, Bit o' Honey, oustanding and intriguing.
Palate is intense and weird... too fiery, actually. Tastes alcohol-y and young, too much so for me to really be able to kick back and enjoy this. Finish gets tarry and a little minty, but it's just too much for me.
I hope they let the rest of this distillate/vintage stay in cask a whole lot longer, because it seems that there's magic in here to be worked. Right now it's rough. But a B- because I'd tell you to taste some.
