Wow. Weird nose in a good way, extremely herbal. Pine, paint, and some unusual stuff for me to associate with a single malt scotch. Surprisingly sweet on the palate, vanilla and caramels give way to the weirdness that comes back and overtakes in the finish, but really pleasurable. Clears my sinuses. The wood catches up after a few sips, and it is very tannic, but it's a good oak.
