N: Sweet bourbon, low on the wood. P: Quite sweet but not cloying, a bit of mint in the background, a bit of oak but much less than you'd expect in a 17 yo. A nice bit of acid as well. Water brings out dark chocolate notes and quite a bit of mint, like an Andes Mint but without the chemically aftertaste. F: A bit short and hard to get a handle on except for a fleeting sweetness and a slight bit of the acid.
Nicely preserved, with some of the really great qualities you get in old wheaters.
