Mouthful of flowers, moderately sweet, light smoke, slightly oceanic. Seems like this would go well with fishy fish. Finishes with perfumey stuff in my nostrils, along with smoke and salt water. It finally leaves me where it started, with rosewater. Also kinda bitter in a way that doesn't quite bring me back for more, though not terribly so.
Hard to love, a type of "Like It or Hate It" single malt. I'm not sure if this is the elusive FWP (that's French Whore Perfume... Google it with Bowmore) but it's certainly odd.
Like licking a nice old lady who has recently been somewhere near a volcanic eruption.
N: Very salty and briny, reminiscent of the old 17 year. Flowery. FWP? P: Total salt attack! Very floral, bordering on perhaps too much but I always kinda liked that aspect of the 17. Clean and crisp, with some notes of shell fish. F: The salt lingers, and actually brings you back for more. Flowers break free on the exhale. Lingering taste of lobster. A rather odd one but I like it.
