Nose of strong green apple Jolly Ranchers, with lots of butter cake, granola bar, sweet floral stuff, nice.
Palate doesn't have a whole lot going on, a gentle fruityness and melons in line with the nose, along with that butter cake thing in decent amounts. Pretty oaky but a nice kind of oak. Rather drinkable, but not a stellar example of the style, it seems that the oak here has overshadowed the fruit/floral aspects too much, too long in the cask. Nose is the best part and is very tantalizing on its own. I don't know that this whisky satisfies any sort of whisky craving I have, but it's fair enough.
