Nose of honey with mildew, plums and bright fruits, some smoke wisps, seems like light sherry.
Palate is rather sweet and tart, with ginger and moderate oak, chocolate hints. Smoke re-emerges lightly in the long finish, with cayenne and red pepper flakes.
Really tasty and bright stuff with moderate complexity that keeps me drinking and enjoying it all night long. B/B+
N: Nutty and citrusy, with some brine, and cookie batter. P: Deliciously salty, thick and oily mouth feel. And hints of that distinctive plastic taste from old old Springers. F: Lots of candied oranges, chocolates, and Werthers candies.
This is extremely promising spirit, makes me think that legends like those from the 60's could reappear again in 15 years.
