n: cedar box, forest, menthol, and green banana peel.
t: malty and sweet, with the sherry cask influence showing strong in the middle. Coconut, a tease of smoke (?), and nutmeg - the grain sweetness takes over in the finish to hit a sweetspot with potpourri but is somewhat flat and it feels a bit artificial. A nicely balanced blend with a decent ABV% that is easy to drink. An example of Japanese craftsmanship in this calibrated whisky. [UK release reviewed, B/B-]
