M: Initial blast of winey fruit, settles down, gets cleaner, more on citrus, P: Full, fruity / grassy, huh, and interesting fruit taste, kinda like purple grape candy... F ...ah, I think its more like (crap, can't remember...Googling classic candies... those stupid chalky little candies that come in a roll...Sweet Tarts!! I liked this more and more as I emptied the glass, teetered on giving it a B+ several times, but settled on B. It's a high B.
Super clean fresh nose with fresh malts and some grass. Palate is a bit softer than expected - easy drinking. Honey and some spices on the palate. Classic bourbon barrel oak spice after a bit.
I was not as impressed as Mole with this one and although I give it a B, it is a low B bordering on B-. But, it is classicly bourbon and probably the mid-high ABV keeps it in the B range.
p: sweet and first, then goes odd. It somehow reminds me of semething I stuck in my mouth as a child, something bad, like an old shower carpet + sugar or honey. Recommended for uniqueness.
note: my wife is making me write that she tasted "sauvignon". It's always wine with her. She hasn't bitched at be yet at me doing tasting notes all night so I'll do this for her.
