This "Single Malt Something" as the label says is actually Ardbeg Very Young matured for an extra year in a Glenfarclas Oloroso sherry cask.  It was made by the owner of a whiskey shop CS visited in Germany in 2006.   Apparently there are two major television stations in Germany, ARD and ZDF, hence the name.

Wood and peat nose, big peat all the way through (which I like).  Water releases some sugars.   Finishes dry and hot.

Musty-smoky nose.  On the palate I say smoky-yum-sweet-hot.  Just a couple drops of water tame the fire and open this up into a very pleasant drink, with a moderate and agreeable finish.  Woody, smoky.  Needs more dimensions, but the couple present here I really like.
