Nose is charcoal, mild antiseptic, a little burnt plastic, hint of rest stop bathroom on the way to Vegas.
Palate is sooty, ashy, medium-sweet. Tasty and hits the spot for a peaty whisky, but not in an "aahhhh" way, it sort of just fits the bill. Petroleum-type notes. Finish dries out, but not very much so, with unusual tannic spices lingering. Not a lot going on here for me. B/B-
Savoury flavours of peat smoke and red berry sweetness. Ash and mixed berries. Phenols are more abundant. Oak char and ash in the finish. Solid whisky.
