A used American white oak barrel to which toasted oak chips were added at filling (no finishing or transfer). Because it's not a new barrel, it can't be called bourbon.

Tangy and lively, lots of vanilla, apple, and caramel. Not nearly as heavy or woody as I expected. I guess the used barrel + new chips = about the same amount of wood influence. Though it didn't do anything special for me, it's tasty stuff.  B/B+
