P: damp hay and a little bit of rubbing alcohol. Peat infuence is weak. Buttered lobster (again faint). Typically Balvenie... gentle, unoffensive, but a bit unexciting.
n: rich and creamy nose with a light citrus smoke. Spiced cinnamon almonds at the county fair. Peaks of dark golden merengue.
t: sweet and buttery with a very delicate white salt aspect. Very thin on peat smoke, more like burnt waxed paper. This is super easy and nice to drink but nothing outstanding. Nice oak with a long burnt butter finish. This is a solid, drinkable whisky that I enjoyed, but I expected more from this. And more peat influence...
