Palate: Punchy, lavender butter, pepper. Finish becomes a dull charcoal. All in all not bad, but perhaps a small step down from the Autumn Release. Should have been 50% instead of 46.
The nose screams youth with the traces of the fresh new make still on it. This follows into the palate with a peaty drum beat but it all ends a bit flat. Promising stuff, but not there yet.
One of those difficult reviews to post - it's not bad just not quite ready yet. Too unrefined overall. Nice honey-vanilla malty tones intertwine with the smoke, but the finish is young and a bit too spiritous for me. Worth trying though. B-/C+
t: weird floral element, turns to thin honey and margarine. Cereal and grassy note in middle with subtle oak and white grape. Finish is a little flat and ashy and overall rough.
