I like this the way I like my Glenfiddich 12. It's not remarkable, but it's tasty in an approachable and basic way. Sweet and honeyed, very vanilla, with lots of bubblegum and fruity stuff.
The nose on this is full of caramel and butterscotch, then yielding to some floral and dessert wine nots. The palate is a bit dulled, coming in with hay and grass type notes. The finish is malty and very short.
A bit too sweet and floral for my tastes but not a bad malt.
Butterscotch and caramel. Others told me I should smell some peat....I smelled none. Palate was very light and very soft - extremely easy drinking. Finish was very soft and fleeting.
n: very sweet and grassy, angel food cake with hard pink frosting. Somewhat floral. Vanilla, light toasted oak. Fresh peach and walnut.
t: follows the nose, but even more of a sweet edge, especially in the finish. Honey Glazed Pecans, cinnamon roll frosting, a touch of malt, and more youthful sweetness. Light body, sultanas, powdered sugar, caramel and honeysuckle. Middle shows oak cask and more hard toffee. Quick and dry finish of bubblegum and artificial butterscotch.
