A great way to start an evening, honeyed and fruity, very lightly peated, and altogether tasty enough. B/B-
This malt also provides a great tutorial in the importance of whisky lineups -- at the beginning of the night, it was noticeably peated with some flavorful zing. After tasting through a number of more weighty Ardbegs, when returning to this it seemed like little more than lightly-honeyed water.
N: Lemon cake. P: Fruity with some light smoke, rather oily. F: Clean and refreshing with some tangy green mint. I wasn't sure what to expect here, having heard mixed reviews, but I thought it was pretty good.
