Super f'ing peaty and good.  See my notes for the 2009 release, it tastes the same as far as I can tell.  [These notes have been modified to satisfy the silly requests of silly people, who shall remain nameless.]

Nose is an inviting peat smoke onslaught. Palate, wow, damn that's some good smokey stuff. The finish -- did I mention this is hugely smokey whisky? Big surprise, I know. Like last year's Supernova, this one almost requires a toothbrush to end the finish. I liked the debut version more -- particularly because of the tingle of powdered-sugar sweetness it has -- but I do like this for sure. Just make sure you're in the mood!

[P.S.  Silly is a virtue.]

Same interplay of sweet and smoke as the 2009 version.  I don't see much difference other than a bit less oiliness on the mouth. Rates about the same for me.

n: initial is peat and burnt butter. Charred plastic and BBQ meats are present after a few deep whifs. Light peppermint candy and pine furniture wax.

t: smokey, with a savoury salty + sweet burst, and then more smoke and charred bacon fat. Smoke completely takes over the middle with white pepper and grilled peach. Finish is all peat and soot but with enough character to not make this a "one trick pony" of just over-peated malt. Burnt caramel candy in the dry end.  [B+/B]

n:  Very similar to the previous release.  Salted Bubblegum.

p: sweet, smokey and peppery.  Sweetness is fleeting.  Great bottle though.

Fuji

Burnt plastic, vanilla and citrus. More on the oily diesel side.

Retaste 2015

N: Sun baked rock (mineral), freshly put out fire, BBQ bricks, iodine and new band aid

P: Dark and tarry on the palate. Thin mouthfeel and bitter on the mid palate with a smokey finish. B-
