Honey bourbon sweet corn nose, very sugary, toffee peanut brittle, very inviting.
Ooh, nice palate. Hits the spot squarely. Kinda nutty, nice cinnamon, not exactly "rich" yet still full of flavor. Something lightly "chemical" but i don't mind it.
Super special? Nope. Is this a good bourbon when you need a bourbon? Better than that. B/B+
Fabulous nose with a rich, sweet, heavily wooded old-whiskey smell. The richness carries on to the taste with a nice, chewy texture. This one is for those who like them old and strong. There is lots of wood, but it's not over oaked, and the sweetness is mingled throughout. Water really opens this one up and brings out some rye spice, though at the expense of some of the wood. B+/A-
N: Wood sap and sawdust over some light floral rye, very strong nose, I'm expecting the same on the palate. P: And it sure is, big, oily, and woody as hell. It's like licking Pinocchio. Ok, that's just wrong. Let's forget that happened. F: Sweet and tannic. I'm pretty tolerant of wood in whisky, but this is too much for me. Again, sorry about the Pinocchio thing.
