The nose is just fantastic, an inviting peated breeze that's not too in-your-face. Musty with coal, bacon and ham. Then I get some cardamom, cinnamon hints, and cedar. Tinge of model airplane glue. The palate -- ah, nice. Not as good as the nose advertised (that would probably make for a pure "A") but pretty tasty. The smoke is stronger and of a coal and woodfire variety, with an apple-fruity background. Mild sweetness. Something a little solventy in here as well. Long finish adds white pepper.
A really nice Laphroaig, which I'm gonna enjoy killing. Kill! Kill! Kill! KILL!!!! (Note: I have been drinking. Laphroaig.)
