Nose: Thick, chocolate and orange peel. Palate: oooh it's like a day on the beach, candied, and infused with alcohol. Nice spicey, peppery finish is a lipsmacker. B+/A-
A really great, fruity nose -- dried peaches and cranberries, with prominent coconuts and tropical wisps. Pina colada! And the palate is damn yummy. Medium-sherried and a tinge of smoke, it's not as exciting as the nose made me hope for, but still quite delicious. Gets peppery in the finish, and smoke grows stronger here and lingers the longest. Great whisky. B+/A-
Yeah. I had this among many others, but kept coming back. The wonderful Brora salt and mustard seem second fiddle to the sweet flavors here. Sherry did it well. Have to agree with Adam on pina colada. Add to that some complex smoke and earth flavors. Wonderful combo. Give me more of this!
N: Nutty, nectary, minty / herbal. P: Wow. Bubble gum sherry influence. Plum. F: Fruit peat frosting (we should sell that!). Andy served this at one of his club gatherings and I shamelessly hit the bottle up several times for refills. Great stuff!
