Nose has that very-aged-whisky quality of oak and coconut, with vanilla and something like eucalyptus. The palate -- first impressions I wrote were, "Oh. Ooh." It's quite dry and distinct, with strong and bittersweet sherry. Wisps of banana, like some sort of Pez. The overall flavor reminds me of cognac. Finish is very long, and even dryer, with spice becoming more prominent. This is a tasty whisky, with a sip-able elegance to it, but ultimately it's just not my thing... too dry for my tastes. I mean yeah, it's good, but I enjoy the other, way cheaper Dalmores more than this. See what others say. B/B-
N: Rich woody nose, smells old! Some ethery notes as well as egg nog (really). P: Quite wood influenced, richly sherried and nutty. F: Dry spicy oak. Gets a tad too dry for me on the end, otherwise this would be a solid A-.
