This was amazing.  Truly a pleasure to take every sip.  From start to finish it did everything absolutely wonderfully.

N: Nutty, concentrated apricots, berries, rancio.
P: Richer and fuller than the XXV, sparkling sherry with hints of gunpowder.
F: Dry and evaporative.
Wow!  I was hard pressed to decide a favorite between this and the 1964.

Big Red gum and sweet butternut squash fills the palate in an intense but uncloying way that commands a smile.  The spicy finish is nice and long too.  A hair better than the 1972 and my favorite cellar collection so far.
Dave

Cashews, roasted nuts, and loads of cinnamon.  Really nice and lots to enjoy.  After several head to heads with the 1972, the '72 may have won out.....maybe.

Nose is lighter and relatively indistinct, with honey, and hints of lavendar and wool.  Palate is very nectary, fruity, and darn tasty.  Flavors of nectarines and apricots with other citrus notes.  The finish continues the theme in a long fade.  For the age, I would've expected a lot more wood and tannins -- but they're not here at all.  Wow.  YUM!!!  A/A-

Nose is sherry and greenish.  The palate has big red gum, spice, licorice, and hot wood flavors.  Better on the palate where the 25 is better on the nose. The finish is grassy, turing to the spice again. Complex.  Fun to enjoy.

Balanced and complex.  Old school bourbon fruit influence (pineapple and mango).  This is something you could drink alot of in one sittting and at anytime. A/A-

The nose has sweet floral notes with potpourri and raisins. Palate starts sweet, then turns to earthy notes. Finish is very earthy, Armagnac like.

Ries

n: black cherries, malted vanilla, very well put together and rounded.

t: vanilla wafers coated with strawberry jam. This is a complex and cohesive - a  "perfect whisky".

So well-rounded, none of the individual aspects shine, but this is probably the perfect sipper.  [A/A-]
