N: Buttered toast, vanilla and toffee (the kind with a chocolate and nut coating) followed by savory, wheated bourbon notes.
P:  A bit hot for its abv with some fumey tastes, then citric acid, lemonheads and a yeasty finish.

Not my favorite of the Weller line, but decent enough.

Nose of paint, toffee, and vanilla.  Palate is rather dry for a bourbon, and somehow "richer" without being at all complex.  There's a little spice, and a little something synthetic-tasting that I can't quite put a finger on... synthetic in a good way.  All the flavors here are very slight, and continue in the lengthy, hot finish.

[ca. 2008 bottling]

N: Caramel, a touch of black pepper and some orange; some wood influence, a light touch of black cherry and vanilla. Faintly musty (think "old wood-paneled study") but it works.

P: Creamy and rich, a little maple syrup, vanilla, some cinnamon heat, some toffee. Gains heat but isn't overbearing. A little bit of wood.

F: Starts warm; a touch of black tea and then vanilla and black cherry lead. Dries a bit and goes first to orange but then back to black cherry with wood emerging late.

Nice. Not too young, good rich body and a nciely balanced (though not "challenging") palate and finish. Again, intensely drinkable.

n: Caramel popcorn ball, Hot Tamales™ cinnamon candy, hay barn wood, and freshly polished brown shoe leather.

t: Initial is maple syrup, dry wood char, black tea, and a bit of heat. Midway the softness of the wheat comes in with a hint of brown sugar. It's not "corny sweet" like typical bourbons of this age/price. Finishes light maple and wood sweetness.

Not very complex, but does it's job quite nicely and is extremely mixable and sippable. At this price point you can add ice and whatever else you want and not listen to any whiskey snob that scoffs at you. I would recommend this to any bourbon drinker.  [B/B-]

N: Molasses, damp herb, saw dust, baby powder and oak.

P: Dense. Bitter licorice, charred hard candy and orange zest.
