Nose is very grainy, rubbing alcohol, a bit of caramel, peanut skins. First impression is that this is total garbage. But it has a weirdly enjoyable mouth feel and a little nuttiness in the finish that is slightly redeeming. Apparently this was once the most popular whiskey in America. Makes perfect sense.
Nose of very faint caramel and melons. Palate offers very light caramel with some malt flavors. Gets more honeyed in the finish. Nothing to celebrate here at all, but I find it to be okay stuff.
