This bottling and its darker sister have developed a strong reputation in some whisky circles. I'm not gonna say that isn't deserved -- but palates can be like fingerprints, and whatever receptors one might need to fully appreciate this malt, I don't seem to have them.
To me it's just kinda dry, kinda peaty, kinda average overall, and kinda good. I like it marginally better than the darker iteration.
