Nose of gear oil, mildly pickled. Palate hits me as kinda nice, a pleasant and drinkable mild rye without a whole lot going on -- but still satisfying and with a nice mouthfeel. Slightly minty. Inoffensive without being too bland, a good party whisky. B- in a good way.
