Ries

n: dried bing cherries, deep butterscotch, buttered vanilla wafer covered in marmalade. Dark antique sherry, slightly musty, and balsamic vinegar.

t: extreme Glenfarclas distillery character of all the things that they do so well and amplified even more. Black cherries, heavy ume (salted plums), noir chocolate, smoked leather. Has a hint of sulphur that I enjoyed. Finish is tobacco leaf, antique sherry wood, and a rustic, musty component to show pedigree. A pinacle 'Farclas with delicious red berry jam and sophisticated sherry wood.

A/A-

Fuji

N: Sweet sherry (bot sickly sweet though) with dark chocolate and fig.  Raspberry, rose water and old leather bond books.

P: Flame raisin, olive oil, young cherry and strawberry.  There's distinct sour red plum (umeboshi and saladitos).
