Not bourbon, or rye, or anything micro. It’s a budget whiskey, blended from who-knows-what (in this case, both aged corn whiskey and neutral grain spirit).  Alibi is a corn-based whiskey that contains elements of rye and malted barley aged in first-fill American oak casks, distilled in Indiana and bottled and blended in Florida.

Alibi American Whiskey Outperforms Top Whiskey Brands Online

"Alibi is one of the only brown spirit brands engaging the younger whiskey novice," commented Brian Gordon, CEO of Engine Shop, agency of record for Alibi American Whiskey. "There are millions of consumers out there who just don't care about the traditional brown spirits story; this is why our message and our positioning is resonating with them." (link)

Ries

n: very thin and light, mostly a young/new make nose and brown sugar. Sweet tea and caramels.

t: all frontal sugar sweetness and corn syrup that goes a long way toward masking the alcohol. Liquid Sweet-n-Low stirred into vodka. Middle is all artificial vanilla. Finish is neutral grain, caramel corn, and sweet tea in a plastic cup left in the sun.

Don't understand the point of this, especially for a few dollars more you can buy straight bourbon. I do think this is going to give KANSAS whiskey a run for it's money though. The website will show you old farts what cool kids do.
