For a one-month old whisky, this stuff is pretty darn good.
Nose first really reminds me of apple juice, pretty tart, some herbal notes. Then cinnamon enters and it turns into apple pie. Pretty great nose, really.
Palate is initially quite good, sweet and fairly indistinct with mixed spice cabinet, then the apple-pie tartness kicking in. The finish is where it falls apart, becoming just too spiritous, though not nearly as much as you'd expect for the youth. But that's what makes it hard to come back for a lot more. I think this would drink fairly nicely on the rocks and work very well as a mixer in some hipster cocktail.
I'd be very interested to taste this with more age on it.
Postscript: After spending more time with the bottle, I've upgraded from C to C+.
