Light and fragrant. Baby powder and brine. Kind of farm yardy. Ash and smoke from a freshly put out fire.

Retaste 2014 B-

Diesel oil, sulphur peat. Tons of bbq stuff. Kinda thin on palate.  More bbq and pear stuff.

Surprisingly fruity nose, citrus. Definitely a much lighter Lag, but of course still maintains that signature smokey base. H20 really helped balance it out, since the ABV overpowered it's delicate side. Although the finish isn't very long, the flavor it leaves you with is quite pleasant - more from that citrus nose, mixed with more of the smoke you get from the palate.

Quite nice. What an incredible value, if you can get it.

N: Light, malty, with a moderate peat presence.

P: Surprisingly sugary, very malty, moderate peat.

F: Peaty, lightly malty, but an almost vanishingly quick finish.

Kind of a surprisingly low cask influence to me. It was a lighter side of Lagavulin - not bad, but not one for the ages.

Light and woody malt mixed with just a hint of peat (nice finish). [1/4/13]
