Nose of subtle smoke, light honey and fruity strawberries, pinot grigio. Palate is nice enough, pretty fruity altogether though not hugely so, smoke restrained.
Peated and fine, but uninteresting and not great Ardbeg. Damn it! C+/B-
N: Light and delicate islay nose with a floral quality. A fair bit of peat mingles with vanilla oil, citrus and minerals. Some wet rust metal notes alongside motor oil.
P: Very pleasant on the palate. It is sweet and savory and the peat level is low but crisp and clean. The brine comes out toward the mid palate and mixes with citrus and caramel.
