Nose of inviting, moderate smoke, with bran and grain muffins.

An easy-drinking peater. Medium-sweetness swirls with basic smoke, nothing amazing here but very enjoyable. Ashy. Very drinkable, of course, given the ABV. Finish continues the theme at length, with antiseptic stuff.

Tasty but not very remarkable, wish it were higher proof. 

N: Rich and spicy peat, bacon, cakey, Cinnabun.  Some automotive smells.
P: As with all these 40%ers, the first sip is a little weak but it gets much bigger as you continue to drink.  Yum.
F: Fruit and smoke, earthy, yum, yum, yum.

I seem to like this old school profile (similar to the CC Ardbeg 1974) more than others, I think it has the extra complexity that's lacking in a lot of more recent peated malts.  So much so, I can get past the low abv.

n: New tennis ball can

p: Light peat, lemon water, very watered down.  Mulchyard.  Iodine in the exhalation.

B/B+

N: Smells dilute. Cut hay, warm caramel, dried fruits, anise and sherry. This smells of a late fill sherry cask, like all the goodness has already been taken from the cask.
P: Very light and thin on the palate. Sweet bbq corn, tea with hints of lilacs and lavender. A lot of the spirit really comes through.
F: Briney with white pepper

My notes are from a different bottle and the fill level was low (about the shoulder).  It may or my nothave affected the juice.  A higher ABV would have been nice.
