Nose of vanilla, chardonnay. Some of my mom's chicken soup. Also a little funk.
Palate is nice and mild, rather sweet. Lighter flavors of vanilla, plums, honey, spice... this gets very bready as the finish starts, in a really tasty way, with malt and salt.
It's not a revelation, but it's good and very drinkable, and I like it a lot. Kinda like a mouthful of mixed, sweet sourdough and wheat breads. Great party whisky. B/B-
Sharp notes of eucalyptus and white peppercorn. Oily vanilla and warm butterscotch as well. Sweet vanilla and fruit on the palate. Tastes watered down. Bitter citrus water and salt mid palate. Very malty finish that disappears quickly.
NOSE The first thing I thought of was raw pumpkin and it completely took me off guard. Giving it a second to get my bearings straight I gave it another sniff and picked up vanilla, caramel, sugar beets, malt and just a whiff of wood.
PALATE Incredibly light with an overall nutty quality to it. Inside that nutty wrapper was some sugar beet, honey, wood, malt and a very strange cognac-meets-port grapiness to it.
FINISH A very short finish of malt and watery caramel.
