Nose:  Very nice nose; sweet Bourbon with wood polish and oak.  Palate:  I was expecting big woody/chewy complexity from the nose but it's actually more of the light and smooth variety with sweet candy flavors and just a bit of oak.  The finish goes back to the woody qualities of the nose.  A decent Bourbon worth trying but not overly complex.

D: Different.  Doesn't smell particularly rye'd or wheated.   Smells a bit waxy, some workshop smells (grease, glue, acetone), funky wood.   Weird, but not necessarily bad.
P: Eeeeeh, hmmmm.   Oily, sweet, and peculiar.  Definitely seems to be some rye flavor here, but there's an off-taste that dominates.   It tastes sort of like mold smells, if they makes any sense.  That fades after a while...
F: Bitter and tannic.
This isn't awful, but it's not good. I can say than for a 4 year old, it has a heck of a lot more flavor than a lot of the thin junk out there today.   But I think there's some heavy oils in here that aren't so tasty, and the nose scares me a bit, it just smells wrong.

NOSE
Old Bottle Effect (musty), tangerine-like citrus, oak, cornbread, caramel and root beer float.

PALATE
OBE, caramel, vanilla, tangerine-like citrus, root beer, grain sweetness and bits of spice, oak and menthol.

FINISH
Med-short -> Caramel, wood, spice and menthol.

It doesn’t have that oaky depth most of your basic bourbons of today have, like Wild Turkey 101 or Evan Williams BiB, but it has character.
